Finserve Global Security Fund today announces that space and defense expert Stefan Gustafsson has joined the fund’s Advisory Board. With a background in the Swedish Armed Forces, the defense industry and the international space sector, he brings significant strategic expertise to the fund’s continued development within defense, space and cybersecurity.
Stefan Gustafsson was Chief Strategist at Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) between 2013 and 2024, where he led the development and positioning of the company's advanced space services in the global market. He also has a long background in the Swedish Armed Forces, where he has been Head of Strategic Analysis and Naval Operations. During his career, Gustafsson has worked closely with both American and European defense structures as well as with security and industrial issues. He is also educated at the US Naval Command College, one of the USA's most prestigious international education programs for senior officers.
In addition to his operational background, Gustafsson has an extensive track record of board work in both public and national business organizations within the space, defense and aerospace industries. He currently holds several board and advisory positions in technology, defense and space companies, including ECAPS, Ovzon, Frontgrade Gaisler and Frost Unmanned.
He is also active in several academies related to defense and technology. Gustafsson is vice-chairman of the Royal Swedish Naval Officers' Society (KÖMS) and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of War Sciences. He is also elected to the French Académie de l'air et de l'espace, one of Europe's leading academies in aerospace science.
