Finserve Nordic AB announces today that the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority approves Finserve Holding AB's acquisition of Resscapital - together they create a leading
Nordic fund player that focuses on innovative and focused asset management.
The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority announced on September 22 that it has approved Finserve Holding AB's (“Finserve”) acquisition of Resscapital AB. With the deal, Finserve and Resscapital together have approximately SEK 12 billion in managed capital, distributed across 12 funds.
The acquisition strengthens Finserve's position as an independent and specialized fund player, with a broad product range and deep expertise in portfolio diversification beyond conventional equity and fixed income investments as well as alternative investments.
– "We are very pleased that the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority has now given its green light. The acquisition creates a stronger platform for our investors and opens up new opportunities within niche investment strategies. Our focus will be to continue delivering high risk-adjusted returns while building on the unique expertise that Resscapital stands for," says Mats Johansson, CEO of Finserve Nordic AB.
For Resscapital, the deal means that the company's cutting-edge expertise in life insurance-related investments can be further developed within the framework of a larger company.
– “Becoming part of Finserve is a logical and strategically important development for us. We will gain a stronger distribution platform, access to more resources and be able to continue our international expansion with increased vigor. Our team looks forward to contributing our expertise and creating value together with our new colleagues,” says Gustaf Hagerud, CEO of Resscapital AB.
