{"id":8207,"date":"2025-09-10T10:56:20","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T08:56:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/finserve.se\/?p=8207"},"modified":"2025-09-10T10:56:21","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T08:56:21","slug":"finserve-chelverton-global-technology-fund-augusti-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/finserve.se\/en\/finserve-chelverton-global-technology-fund-augusti-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Finserve Chelverton Global Technology Fund \u2013 August 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">August continued the second quarter earnings season, with positive results from many of our portfolio companies, although overall portfolio performance was dampened by a generally weaker market and continued macroeconomic concerns around interest rates and inflation, as well as the effects of tariffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In terms of corporate fundamentals, we continued to see strong results from our AI-exposed companies \u2013 TSMC (which reported its Q2 results in July) reported strong July sales again, and more generally, Taiwanese July sales figures showed continued strength, indicating a strong build-out of Nvidia\u2019s latest systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arista Networks (owned) showed that AI demand is much more than just computers and GPUs \u2013 they see much greater demand for their high-performance networking systems. It was the fund&#039;s biggest contributor to August performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">August also began with the launch of the latest ChatGPT-5 model, which we believe will continue to support the shift to reasoning models, one of the biggest drivers of increased demand for computing.
